Quite right... in Daco-Romanian dialect. Aromanian knows a lot of
forms not transformed by analogy: "ascumtu" for DR "ascuns", "Timtu"
for DR "încins", etc. -- the ultimate proof that replacement was
made at a later historical moment, after dialectal split. Thus, as
you said, there is no need to derive something which is actually
an undeniable analogical refashioning.
