Demo-meter? Sounds like an instrument.
Demos is a  word in Gk. meaning "people" is it not? There was
a "Deimos", panic as opposed to "Phobos", fear.
Anyway "Dewa" and "Demo" may have the same meaning if you'll consider
Japanese.
