AFAIK, Romanian by and large observes those Latin
stress patterns (IMHO even exaggerating on preferring
the stress on syllables that, diachronically seen,
are penultimate; somewhat closer to French than
Italian habits in this respect [well, my own sub-
jective empiric perception]).
