Also: Finnish 'Juutanrauma' (now I can't find the reference, so
excuse any errors in the spelling) for the Øresund strait between
Sjælland and Scania, hundreds of kilometers from any Jute today. If
the word arrived with a Germanic invasion of Finland and Estonia 2000
years ago (archaeology says someone moved in then, but recent
consensus is that Finno-Ugric speakers are older in that area, and
Snorri's account fits in nicely again), note that -rauma is a
Germanic loanword, then most of Denmark, especially Sjælland, which
was conquered later, would have been in the hands of 'Jutes', ie. non-
Germanic, non-Celtic Nordwest people.
