Where Hungarians needed auxiliary vowels, Romanians maintained
those initial clusters easily. OTOH, there are cases where the
latter have forms with such additional vowels (those cases are
supposed to be loans). Unfortunately no other examples occur
now, ad-hoc, to my mind than Cara$-Severin (the name of a county
in Banat), that in Hungarian is... Krassó-Szörény ['krO-So:
sö-re:ñ]. Just imagine: Krassó, with the same initial kr- cluster,
that's seemingly incompatible with such a language as Hungarian.
Perhaps (I don't know) it's a sign of a late adoption of this name
by Hungarians (i.e. later than krac^un > karácsony).
