No, if there really was an Old Indo-Aryan *kSaS-, it didn't
find its way into the prakrits by way of the Vedic dialect.
It would be just another of those items from a lost dialect,
or dialects of Old Indo-Aryan that survived in the prakrits,
but bypassed both Sanskrit and Vedic.
