There are many good examples of compounds with *h1su-, but this one happens
to be spurious. The 'eat' root is *h1ed-, while the 'sweet' word is
*swah2du-, certainly not from *h1su-h1ed-. The similarity (which fades away
if you use the correct IE reconstructions) is only accidental.
