Based generally in semantics, I believe once upon a time (four month
ago) that I have hit the etymology of Alb. <shkrum> 'ash'. Reading
later about semantic shift, I believe that you are damn right, cause
we have another soundlaw in Albanian: SM > M: *smek-ru > mjekër'
chin, beard' and *esmi- > Alb. jam '(I) am'. So, suffixed zero-grade
form *krus-mo- fit perfectly Alb. prefixed form sh-krum 'ash'.
