forget it. You have "mesteca" , "amesteca", " mestecãu",etc.in Rom.
which is cognate with masticare; I wonder how easy in such cases one let
a such change as a > e. I know the phonetical game a > ã > e > i, but is
this true?
Or is more posiuble that e > a?
