Cf. also <Dalziel>, the traditional pronunciation of which is "DL" (with
final stress; formerly also = "deal"), and <capercailzie> ~
<capercaillie> ['kæp&"keIl(j)i]. <Mackenzie> used to be pronounced
[m&"kenji].
