with the Society for Creative Anachronism and its award

very loosely speaking, the SCA is a medieval re-creationist
group. Membership in the Order of the Pelican is one of its
highest awards, for exemplary high-level service. Many
Pelicans are widely admired for their work, but more than a
few are seen by many as busybodies, full of themselves and
... other things.)
