This is not what I mean. Of course we try to detect rules but not
all of them are sound changes. With you, it seems you leap to
this conclusion first and it is _this_ that makes for a distorted
picture of earlier stages of IE.

Before you think of me "as a wolf", need I remind you that I've adopted
some of your views, not many, but some. Like the voiced *-s in the
nominative, although I still interpret it as an _allophonic_ voicing to
*[z] which never became phonemicized at any stage of preIE nor IE
itself. No need to feel pounced upon.
