Just a few more look-alikes:
Except Bulg., which was mentioned, the stem kuch- ia attested in Slovenian
and Croatian (kuche, kuchak, kuchka). In one account it is supposed to come
from Alb. children-word - kuch "dog" (maybe Abdullah could confirm that?);
allegedly there is also in Albanian a word "kut" used for calling a dog.
Also, no one mentioned Russ. kutja, kut'ka and kutenok. In Sanskrit there's
supposed to be a word like "kuk(k)ura" meaning "a dog".
