I don't know the etymology of Hungarian <kutya>
['ku-k^O], but in Bulgarian there's a similar word
[kutS], and in Romanian a synonym of the word
<cãtzel> (seemingly from Latin <catellus>) "little dog"
is <cutzu> (especially when calling the pet "cutzu-cutzu").

But by the way, are there in Panjabi words such as
(phonetical rendering) [t$uridar] and [gatS], both meaning
different kinds of trousers?
