The only major centum ingredient in Albanian is the layer of loans from
Latin. Albanian is a Satem language tout court, not a "mixed" one. The
Satem palatalisation was regularly cancelled in a well-defined phonetic
environment (when *k^ or *g^(H) was followed by a non-syllabic liquid or
[probably] a non-syllabic nasal), but this kind of contextual blocking
is nothing unusual in the Satem languages.
