Well, I try just to help with materials I got, but it seems that I
make some one anger. I guess that cluster /Ts/ is used for Alb. /s/,
as is /Dz/ for Alb. /z/. And, probably for [f.=feminine] stands f.
But, I believe that <besa> is a very recent word. In fact, it is
denominal of Alb. verb <besoj> 'to believe, truth', like:
<presë> 'pressing machine, thin edge' < pres 'to cut, to crop',
<shpënesë> (Buzuku) 'hope' from verb. <shpenoj> (today <shpëresë>
from <shpresoj> 'to hope'), <harresë> 'forgetfulness'from
<harroj> 'to forget', etc. So, any connection with tribe name Bessi
looks to me very impossible.
