guros (gamma-upsilon-rho-omikron-sigma). Class.Greek /gy~ros/, Mod. Greek
/jíros/. Borrowed into Latin, verbal form gyrare > Spa. girar "to turn",
etc. Nothing to do with iu:ra:re "to swear".
