In fact, most IE languages treat *o as /a/ (Anatolian, Germanic, Baltic,
Slavic, Albanian, Indo-Iranian). Only Celtic, Italic, Greek, Phrygian (?),
Armenian and Tocharian treat */a/ and */o/ differently.
