as in English "to murmur"

       Hello,

There is Lithuanian word MURMETI for English word TO MURMUR.
> is in use instead of RONA now. What word SEMENS means?

I think that Your SEMEN can be Lithuanian word SEMENYS (sounds like SEAMENYS)

> As for Zakas (jakas), it should mean sack, back .

I don't know word ZAKAS. There is Lithuanian word ZHAGAS, which means STACK, HAYRICK.

>My list about these toponyms was compiled in 1898. It seems they are not
only in Lithuania but in Oriental Prusia, Samogetien and Curlandien

Samogetia (Zhemaitija) and part of Curlandien (Kurshas) belongs to Lithuania now, but there aren't located placenames You mentioned.

>That you rememered me about. Are these "Lets" mentioned by 297 the
actual Lets and Lithuanians?
Eumenii Panegyricus Constantino Cesari dictus, c.21:
"tuo, Maximiane Auguste nutu, Nerviorum et Treverorum arva iacentia
Laetus postliminio restitutus .... excoluit"

Word LETAS (sounds like LEATAS) in Lithuanian language means SLOW. Plural form would be LETI. But it is supposed that name of Duchy of Lietuva (Lithuania) have come from river's name Lietava, which means THE PLACE WHERE ALL THE RAINS COMES TO ONE POINT (word LIETUS in Lithuanian language means RAIN).
