The diminutive form would be *-IcI (< *-iko-), not *-itjI. A patronymic is
hardly odd in the Slavic context, especially if we assume that it was
originally added to a "first name", e.g. *dadjIbogU svaroz^itjI 'Dazhbog,
son of Svarog'.
