Svaroz^ic (Svarog's son) is probably the same deity as Radogost
('hospitable'), widely worshipped among the Polabians, or rather an
alternative epithet of Dazhbog/*Dadzbog (or of his brother!)

That's making more sense! After quoting Puhvel's statement that
Svaroz^ic^i was the diminutive form of Svarog, I started thinking
that it's pretty presumptious of mortals to call a deity (even a
minor one) by a diminutive name. A patronymic strikes me as a bit
odd (maybe because I'm not a Slav), but at least it's respectful!
