Speaking of nasal infixes, does anyone know of any relationship between the
Hittite -nin-/ni- infix and the latin -n- infix ? Is there one?

Etymologically it's the same as Lat. ambi-, Gk. ampHi- and OE ymb-.
Albanian prefixes have been strongly reduced. A fuller version can be
seen in the preposition <mbi> 'on, over, about'.
