Origins of Tanos

Hey, I've been wondering lately on my own origins ... specifically with my father being a Tanos. I've been seeing a lot of them on Greece, and I heard that this city in Crete was named Tanos.
1. Could Tanos (city) be an Achaean city?
2. Could Tanos mean something close to Macedonian "danos" which means "death" (hope not!)? ..
But here's the thing, my great grandfather (the father of my father's father) was from Lebanon. I even used to think the Tanos house was Phoenician. But I guess they might have originated from Greece and moved to Lebanon and took their city's name as their house, probably because Tanos was destroyed by the 6th cen.CE. Don't you think?
2. My father's kin were redheads, and I had (but no longer have) gray eyes. Could I be a descendant of genuine Indo-European Achaeans? Cause from what I see in Greece, specially Crete; the majority are "swarthy".

"Naguguluhan ako, kung saan ba talaga nanggaling ang familia ko... grabe!!! Pero siguro galing nga sa Grecia. Makakain na lang kaya ng tokwa't pancit."
guess what three languages are in this sentence...

Thanks a million for anyone who could help me
Phil.
