Perhaps because Albanian was influenced by and got those
vocabulae from some sort of Latina Vulgata cum Lingua
Proto-Valachorum, and not from the Lingua Latina of the
classic kind, cultivated in written by stars of the stylus
such as Lucretius, Sallustius, Horatius, Vergilius, Ovidius
and Gaius Iulius "the Hairy" himself. :^)

So, quite imaginable that... hoi poloi in the Balkans
could have gotten familiar rather with some *kuSurin
than with consobrinus and *kuventu than conventum...
