nothing Khazar in it. My tentative view is that it was
a treasure hidden by an important Kutrigur during
their "time of troubles" in the late 7th or early 8th
c. Perhaps even by the Kutrigur khan of the epoch. We
know that the Kutrigur Bulgars resisted Khazar
pressure far longer than the Bulgars of Batbayan.===
