As was noticed by Meyer and Jokl, there are in Albanian language
quantitave and qualitative Ablaut or Apophony. Cf. Alb. bie < *ber-
(Lat. phero) and borë < be:ra: 'snow' (quantitative apophony),
besides qualitative one: pjek < *pekW-, but aor. poqa 'I have
baked', etc.
