Just to confuse matters:

While we write asyllabic *w as w, the index at
http://flaez.ch/cgi-bin/pok.pl writes v, and Pokorny writes u with a
underline curved downwards, which in the on-line version is written
u_.

We at Cybalist normally indicate labialisation by W, the index at
http://flaez.ch/cgi-bin/pok.pl and on-line Pokorny write w. The
standard method when fonts allow is to use a superscript w, as in
Piotr's elegantly formatted essays in the files.
