hmmmm.... there is Romanian verb "zãvorâ"= to bolt, to bar, to shut
oneself up, to put someone in handcuffs derived from noun "zãvor".
zãvor:
1) the lock of the door or window which is in fact a little stock which
glise in loop which is fixed on the rame of the door/fenster
2) handcuffs (used just in the plural form)
3) long slit/splinter made from the trunk of three; board for making
fences.

the word "zãvor" is given by DEX as coming from Slavic "zavorU"
