The "(t)sch" notes a [S] (probably German inspired spelling).

The _scientific_ name "Aromanians" is recent (G. Weigand), as well
as the other (slightly older, though) "Macedo-Romanians". In their
dialect, the ethnic name is inherited, be it "armân(u)" or other
equivalent form. The scientific term is nothing else but educated
adaptated form of their own ethnical name.
