I specialy though about the evolution of "vetus", "veter" to
"veteranus". Why "veteranus" meant "old soldier" and not "old singer"
for instance. Here is the question. Why soldier?
More, I should like to ask Miguel if "veteranus" has "children" in
Western Romance ?
