NO! The sense 'body' (actually, 'dead body') is Slavic. The Balto-Slavic
word *traupas (> PSl. *trupU) developed this meaning before it was borrowed
into Romanian and Albanian. For example, Modern Polish <trup> means ONLY
'dead body' (or, metaphorically, something broken and abandoned) and NEVER
'block of wood'. But we have early Slavic words and Balkan cognates that
point to the ORIGINAL meaning. Got it now?

Greek <antHro:pos> can't have anyting to do with all that, but,
incidentally, it means 'person, human being'. A whole being, not just its
mortal coil.
