Jens predictably opposite to anything I state:
>Assumption 2 is more complicated [...] Since neither "*so-" nor "*to-" has
>the function of the morphemes *-s and *-d,

It's now a fact: You have no grasp of morphology.

Since *so- is animate and *to- is inanimate and *-s is animate
and *-d is inanimate, the solution is self-explanatory and valid.

But since they don't have the EXACT same function, Jens
must also think that:

- The Swedish definite suffix does not come from postposed
demonstratives.
(Reason: They don't have the exact same function.)

- The Old Lithuanian allative and adessive don't derive from
a postposed particle.
(Reason: They don't have the exact same function.)

- Maybe French /faire/ "to do" and the identical word as a
causative in /Je lui fais penser/ "I make him think" aren't
related too.
(Reason: They don't have the exact same function.)

Nutty reasoning if I've ever seen it but not surprising given its
source.

On the sources of *o:
>The only other thing that would be expected to cause a stem-final
>vowel to become /o/ *in this language* is /H3/;

Another is qualitative ablaut. We could also turn your irrational mantra
against you and introduce "any other process that we are unaware of"
to the mix of possibilities. Oh but of course, you ARE as old as the
IndoEuropeans and you WERE there when it happened.

How dare I unfairly invoke the unknown as you consistently do to
avoid every valid point I make.

On IE without a feminine, Jens employs the "ignorance" mantra as
above yet again to avoid any facts that prove he's wrong:
>You are not giving any arguments to justify your position, it is nothing
>but wishful thinking.

This is absurd. IE did not have feminine gender, proven by
Anatolian and other IE languages. That IE had a feminine gender
is no longer the consensus anyways. Jens, it's time to start living in the
present tense.

I refuse to pet your self-indulgent ignorance by explaining a highly
documented and substantiated consensus for you.

>What in heaven's name is ablative *-od ?

An IE case ending. Look it up.
