Ptolemaios has 'Teuriochaimai' where the Hermunduri were supposed to
be. It's tempting to set it up like Boii : Boiohaim- | Teuri,
Turones : Teuriochaimai; Peschel mentions the Hermunduri ad the
Marcomanni as two parallel "enterprises" setting up shop at the same
time (last half of 1st century BCE). In that view the Tur- people
would have been a Celtic people that left (Caesar's Turones), one way
or the other, not the people that entered (the Hermunduri). But
Peschel mentions that some colonisation had been going on since the
second century BCE.
