hmmm.. well look.
Statisticaly from the Latin compounds which begun with "ex-" there is no
word in Romanian where after "x-" has a vowel.
All the inherited verbs are with "xC". And this seems to be curious. Is
this an accident that no compound is mentained in Romanian of exV-? Just
the exC?
But the exC is exactly the PIE *sk and curious again, this is very
present in Rom. but seen as a derivation of Latin "exC-". Simple
accident? Of course, rethorical question..

Thank you. At least " to describe, to explain" whould matches the
semantic sense. If there was indeed in the Vulgata "quo modo tibi
exponere" ( cum iTi spune?(how are you called?) let be an another
story-:)
