It is not. *quoturnic(u)la > potârniche, with usual reduction of
the nexus /kl/.

No. "(i) drejtë" has the same meaning with Latin "directus".

You are simply wrong. "dirigo, -ere" means `direct, steer, guide,
align, point; set in order, form up; strighten, level`. The Romanian
"drege" is obviously semantically related to the Latin verb.

The (modern) Greek word is "keri" not "kera". In ancient Greek, one
has "kêros".
Romanian word is as Latin as Italian "cera", French "cire", Spanish
"cera", Catalan "cera", Sard "kera", Portuguese "cera" and cannot be
explained through Greek, the phonetism doesn't match. Nevertheless,
Greek and Latin words for `wax` are cognates.
