His father, Gn. Pompeius Strabo, was awarded a triumph too. Did you
search Appian's Mithridatica, where Heyerdahl places the story
of 'Olkaba'? Unfortunately, Latyshev seems to be unknown to the
Danish library system, so I'll have to wait for someone else to check
out that reference.
