Maybe Miguel has an idea; he provided the glosses back then.


Proto-Austronesian had *daNum 'water', where *N was some kind of
liquid that merged with *n in Malayo-Polynesian. Its similarity to IE
*dah2nu- 'river' looks terribly significant to me ;).
