Is this one not explaind trough Latin? Normaly the semantism shouln't
pay a clue in Eastern Romance:-)
Well, being serious nou, I ask if there is a connection between rom.
"pãrinte"= priest. I am aware that there is the word "pãrintii ( used
specialy as plural form)= parents. Normaly you can use "pãrintele meu"=
my parent, but it is unlike, no romanian will use in this way but my
mother or my father, speaking about both, though then "pãrintii". The
sense of "priest" is not explained by DEX but it is assumed to come from
the Latin sense of accusative of parens= parentis.

Ias the albanian word "frikë" too considered to be a loan from Greek
"phrike" as the Romanian "fricã"= fear ?
