I think the Hungarian name Tihamér ['ti-hO-me:r]
is also worth mentioning in this context, the
toponymic suffix "-mér" fitting in other
renditions as well. I'm not sure to what
extent there is a relationship to the Germanic
"-mir" (such as in Walamir) and to the Turkic
"-mir/-mür" (?) (Temür?).
