The jekavski form is nevjesta (ekavski nevesta). Czech neve^sta (with
/je/ not /e/) and Polish niewiasta (with /ja/ before hard dental)
confirm this, although it really doesn't need to be confirmed in view
of OCS (and Russian) neve^sta, where the jat' is plainly attested in
the spelling.
