I assume this is the same word as in Romanian : Albanian mërgoj = Rom.
merge.
Even if the semantism in Rom. and Alb. is not quiet identical they are
more appropiate as the Latin smenatism.
If you indeed belive that latin "merge"= submerge under water gave Rom.
"merge"= to go and Alb. "merge"= to migrate, I advice you to think well
about a bird.
I am not joking. There is a bird and its name shows that the paper-thery
is wrong.
