I believe that You have right that Alb. Enj could be also derived
from PIE syllabic *n > an > en, even the PIE syllabics *n, *m, *l,
*r are very little treated in Albanian historic phonolgy.
I like here to poin out that also PIE *h2ango:l/*h2angl- "coal,
ember" has it's cognat in Albanian thëngjill/fëngjill, which is an
preffixed form vë- +ngjil, derived from PIE *h2angl-, if in the end
we have to deal with syllabic *l.
I like to know what do You think about it.
