There is a region called 'balkh' (as in Bach).
Meluhha is cognate with mleccha (as in cheese).
Is it possible that baluch was also pronounced *bhalkh ?
In Sanskrit, bhed.aka and in Tamil, mer..aka, both mean, 'goat'.
