I would refer to myself as a lurker, but that may give Glen the
heebie-jeebies, so I will say that I am a spectator. I enjoy reading
the list very much. Several years in Latin and Greek class seem to
have helped me understand some of what is going on here.

Anyway, I would like to offer an opinion regarding this list.

The problems with the archives and full control over the
administrative functions will not diminish with time. They will only
get worse. If I were Piotr, I would just start another list and
invite members here to join. What ever is here will not go away and
presumably can be accessed still, as best it can. A new list with
better controls and with the experience gained here could be
archived, indexed, backed up, and organized much more effectively.
The longer the delay in implementing this the more material will
eventually be lost. This is just a viewpoint from the spectator's
gallery.

limited as yours. I don't even enjoy all the moderatorial rights:
some of them are reserved for our absent list owner. For one thing,
there's this "indoeuropean" link on the front page, the URL having
been appropriated by cybersquatters from the porn trade.
