yes there are both formes with /i/ and with /â/
and there are several words:
zâmbru/zimbru= bison
zâmbru/zembru= a kind of tree (pinus cembra)
zâmbre= a illness of horses ,cf. DEX= see polish zabrze

By the way cembra, does it has something with the cymber to do? it looks
somehow likely.
