Subject: [tied] Introduction

I´ve been lurking for some weeks, and I think it´s time I should
introduce myself.

I took languages (Russian and Italian) at the
University of Sao Paulo (1985-1989). I began working as a translator,
but ?destiny? made me become a Lexicographer (I´ve written Portuguese-
Italian and Portuguese only dictionaries).
I also attended Law School, which I finished in 2001 (but that´s not
relevant, of course).
And last year I finished my Master´s Dissertation to the Linguistics
department of the University of Sao Paulo. The theme was the two
verbs "to be" in Irish and Scottish Gaelic. The focus was mostly the
linguistic data description.

I´m interested in the languages subject in general, with some
preferences: in the Indo-european world, Romance, Celtic, Germanic
and Slavic. "Out of the Western World", I include Japanse among my
favourite.

Regards,
André Guilherme
