Let me check again....

Well, Mr. DensuSianu gives here as follows: Aeneida, X. 312,324; VIII,
330

Unfortunately I don't have home Aeneida for searching immediately to see
if there is the right meaning.
Regarding the " white beards" N. DensuSianu gives as follows:

---romanian text ----
"Tot astfel ne infatiseaza si Virgiliu pe Latinii din Latiul cel
vechiu.Ei aveau o statura mai mare decat alti oameni, "immani corpore",
iar tinerimea lor se caracteriza printr-o barba blonda."

---trying to translate and adapt ---
"In the same way Vergilius present us the Latins from the Old Latium .
They have had a bigger stature as other people "immani corpore" and
their youth people have been characterised as having a blonde beard".

In so far, if the text of Vergilius doesn't say anything else, Mr
DensuSianu used the expression " barba blonda" for the " youth people"
of the old Latins. In this way it should be a bit hard to think about
"old age" where indeed, a white beard should be more acceptable as a
blonde one.
By myself , I am a bit cautious with the texts cited by Mr Densusianu
since I quoted without to check once something regarding the "colchi"
and if you remember, I have had a lot of trouble with George Kinsh for
giving "false" data.
It will be nice if someone has Aeneida home and can see if there is
something regarding "Old people" and " white beards" or "youth people"
and "blonde beards".
Just as point: the adjective "old" in "Old Latins" doesn't mean "old
people" but " the old inhabitants of Latium" aka "Prisci Latini".
