It is, but it seems to be a relatively late term -- most of the occurrences are found in the Book of Job. Hence my suspicion that it's a back-derivative of some sort.

A good question. Does anyone on the list know enough (about) Hebrew to discuss it? Is there really anything feminine about it, or is it just a myth?
