How about the Takla-Makan mummies a.k.a. Tarim mummies
(preserved in Ürümchi, Xinjiang-Uyguria)? Those tall people
definitely of the so-called "northern" europoid kind. (Garments
similar to the Celtic type.) (For a google search, also "the Cherchen
Man"). Tocharians?...
