Miguel's proposed sound changes when taken individually, I must admit,
are largely mundane and observable in other languages. It's the culmination
of Miguel's views however that challenges the boundaries of improbability.
An overuse of marked phonemes (labial consonants and long vowels, in
particular) and the proposal of a non-existant vowel system that lacks
contrast in both height and frontness are two major issues that Miguel
refuses to address, even though he wishes to be taken seriously.
